Old Daggers was formed in the sarcophagus of Covid-19 during the Fall of 2020 by four friends who had performed with or among each other in various projects between 2012 and 2020. Originally started as little more than a release from the stress and tensions of the time, Old Daggers quickly found a footing in the local scene and a bond with each other and their peers that could not be denied.
After a hastily recorded three song demo released in July of 2021, Old Daggers set to work on a full length album as well as playing a myriad of shows in their local area of Scranton and Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. By the summer of 2023, with numerous shows under their belt, the self-titled debut was released to positive reviews.
During the next year and a half, The Daggers would play countless shows in countless cities across Pennsylvania, gaining traction and fans along the way. In the fall of 2024, they took a brief hiatus to work on new material. They begin production on their new album in the spring of 2025 with a tentative release date in the summer of the same year.
Old Daggers have been called everything from Rock to Punk to Alternative to Late For Dinner. They’ve played Punk shows, Metal Shows, Hip-Hop Shows and everything in between. What genre are they exactly? Check out the new album when it drops and decide for yourself.
